Extensive experience teaching both academic and professional courses. I taught graduate and undergraduate academic courses in universities in Canada, Malaysia, and the USA. Academic classes taught vary across different disciplines including: Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, and Social Policies. Consistently achieved evaluation reports’ averages higher than both the university and the department averages. I also developed and delivered customized and technical training for social security professionals and policy experts in many countries including: Malaysia, US, Canada, Myanmar, Madagascar, Palestine, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, Indonesia, Egypt, Iraq, and Zimbabwe. I have also provided one-one coaching sessions to tens of social security specialists across many countries.

  • (Winter 2021, Winter 2020, Winter 2019, Spring 2016) IP631- Economic Policy and Human Security: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights refers, in Articles 25 and 27, to rights related to an adequate standard of living, adequate medical care, and to education. In the global setting the public policies enacted to fulfill these rights vary greatly from country to country. This course considers domestic and international aspects of selected economic policies in different countries as they relate to issues such as income distribution, health care and education.   • (Winter 2020) IP633- Special Topics in Human Security (Economic Human Rights and Development): This course provides a detailed look at public policies in pursuit of economic human rights. We will thoroughly review the evolution of development paradigm from its earliest incarnation – focused narrowly on GDP growth – to today’s more holistic understanding of development as a multidimensional process involving major changes in social, cultural, and political structures, as well as the acceleration of economic growth, the reduction of inequality, and the eradication of poverty. This course’ approach will be eclectic and will reference relevant concepts and theories from a variety of disciplines, including economic development, social policy, and human rights.
